The name MadebyYankees.net barely describes the essence of the Made in USA product resource website, but the tag line "Your Resource to Support our Work force" does provide clues.     "Our Workforce" - The hardworking Americans that are your family, friends, and neighbors "To Support" - To give active help and encouragement, to be aware and consider purchasing products delivered by Our Work Force "Your Resource" - To gather information, be aware, help locate Made in USA Products.   In short, MadebyYankees.net gathers information about American made products for you; to create awareness of products manufactured in the USA; so that YOU can support your family, friends, and neighbors who are manufacturing goods we need!   And our logo?  The name, MadebyYankees, is derived from the term Yankee.  The term has had various meanings throughout history; residents in New England; residents in the North East, United States; and not uncommonly Americans in general.  The geographical area for which the name generally refers has its roots firmly planted in the industrial sector.  That notoriety has not changed.     Though the term Yankee can often be uttered as a slight insult, it would be difficult to refute the industrial ingenuity that this country was founded upon. There is no denying that our industrial force all over the United States is what has and will continue to keep our country strong.  The MadebyYankees name represents the pride of and for those committed to supporting America.     Recent Research - Water Dispensers Recent research was conducted for a floor model water dispenser.  The search for a brand Made in USA was unsuccessful. Occassionally the product description would note that some components were Made in USA. But no brand was made or even primarily assembled in the USA. Oasis however has indicated that they are headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with facilities in Mexico, Ireland and Poland.  If you are in the market for a water dispenser your choices are: Purchase a refurbished Oasis model at Premium Water Store Review the brand Aquaverve which is made Sherbrooke Quebec Canada Aquaverve If you are familiar with a company or brand making water dispensers in the USA, please let us know!     Continuous Examination It is our goal at MadeByYankees to ensure that our site is the fastest and easiest way to find Made in USA products.  That is why we are examining two issues on our search page.  It is obvious that our website is not laid out in the traditional fashion.  It's not graphically oriented and it's not setup for sophisticated surfing.  It is the absense of those things that make the search function easy.   Issue 1  The search function is a one word search function.  If you miss spell a word or attempt to enter a two word description you will most certainly get "Item not found".  Too little information.   Issue 2  On the other hand, if a search is performed with a popular sequence of letters (i.e. cap or toy) or by category, too much information is provided.
